- What makes the Wutach gorge special?
- It is an unengineered river valley — no weir, no power station. The main path runs 13 kilometres from Schattenmühle to Wutachmühle and takes four to five hours.
- Is the south good for city trips?
- Yes, and that is its advantage over the north: Freiburg, Basel and Colmar are all under an hour and a half away. A wet day is never a lost one here.
- When does the Markgräflerland blossom?
- Usually late March to mid-April, considerably earlier than the rest of the Black Forest.
