- What makes the Black Forest Railway notable?
- It solves the climb with spiral tunnels rather than a rack — an 1873 design copied worldwide. The Hausach–Triberg run is a sight in itself and costs an ordinary ticket.
- Is the Kinzig valley good for families?
- Very, mainly for the open-air museum and the short distances between towns. The valley paths are flat enough for children's bikes.
- How busy is it in summer?
- Far less than Titisee. The half-timbered towns get day visitors; the evenings are quiet.
