Airbnb management in the Hochschwarzwald
The Hochschwarzwald is the only part of the Black Forest with both winter sports and lakes: on the Feldberg snow lies on more than 100 days on average between December and March, and in summer the Titisee and the Schluchsee draw the guests. A flat here therefore needs two pricing phases and two audiences in its marketing — we take on both.
Why guests book in the Hochschwarzwald
These facts decide who books your flat — and what belongs in its listing.
- The Feldberg is 1,493 m, Germany's highest peak outside the Alps
- Schluchsee is the Black Forest's largest lake at 7.3 km²; Titisee, at 1.3 km², is the better known
- The Feldberg averages over 100 days of snow cover from December to March
- The Feldberg raised bog has been protected since 1937 — Baden-Württemberg's oldest reserve
When demand rises in the Hochschwarzwald
A pricing plan follows the region's occasions, not the calendar. One checkable reason for each travel period:
- New Year
- At New Year the Hochschwarzwald is the only part of the region with dependable snow — which is why its apartments fill up first.
- Christmas
- Titisee and Schluchsee both lie above 800 metres; a white Christmas is likelier here than almost anywhere else in Germany.
- Easter
- At Easter there can still be skiing on the Feldberg while the trees are in blossom in Freiburg forty kilometres away.
- Whitsun
- From Whitsun the paths on the Feldberg are normally clear of snow — the Schluchsee is still too cold to swim in.
- Summer holidays
- The Schluchsee is the largest lake in the Black Forest and sits at around 930 metres — it rarely gets warmer than twenty degrees in high summer.
- Autumn holidays
- In October there is often low cloud over Titisee and Schluchsee while the Feldberg above stands clear of it.
- Winter holiday
- At 1,493 metres the Feldberg is the highest mountain in Germany outside the Alps; its snow season regularly runs from December into March.
- Bridge days
- The Hochschwarzwald is forty minutes from Freiburg — on long weekends it is the first area to sell out.
- Weekend
- Feldberg, Titisee and Schluchsee lie within twenty kilometres of each other — a weekend covers the Hochschwarzwald.
- Short break
- For a short break in the snow the Hochschwarzwald is the only part of the region you can plan on — that is a question of altitude, not luck.
- Ascension Day
- On Ascension Day the Feldberg summit is usually clear of snow; the north-facing slopes below it are not always.
- Advent
- Skiing on the Feldberg normally begins in Advent — dependably so from the second half of December.
Why owners choose Aura Apart

Seven signs that a Airbnb management mandate would pay for itself.
- The apartment is not on Airbnb yet
- You want to outsource completely, with no day-to-day work of your own
- You have no experience of listing creation, photography or listing copy
- Pricing, tax and compliance should be handled by someone else
- You expect 30 to 60 percent more income than self-management
- You are ready for a viewing and a written income forecast
- The apartment is available to let at least eight months of the year
How a mandate works
1. We view the property
We visit your apartment free of charge and without obligation, and assess the location, the fittings, which kind of guest it suits (city break, wellness, family, bleisure) and the occupancy we would expect.
2. Positioning and pricing
We put together a letting plan: the audience, a photography brief, what we would add or change, and a pricing strategy by season. You get a written income forecast before anything is signed.
3. Listing and booking setup
Professional photography and listing copy for Airbnb, Booking.com and VRBO. We synchronise the calendars, fit the smart lock and set up the owner statement workflow.
4. Going live and running it
We go live and take on everything: guest communication, check-in, cleaning, maintenance, tax filings and the monthly payout. You see the income; we do the rest.
